Between the layers

This exhibition explores the ‘digital composite collage’. Images, with subliminal connections, were drawn from my own stock library, and edited in Photoshop. Parts were cut and pasted, the assembled layers were adjusted with light and colour. Form and movements were enhanced or subdued, to create a matrix narrative.
Time and space were worked into the composition, creating a depth of field, of patterning and of storytelling.  Some of the works depict detailed scenes in a theatrical manner; others using repetition build up a rhythm of patterns of colour and intensity within which a
which a subject or object is discovered; other images are abstractions of colour and light. An experience of mystery, humour and discovery awaits the viewer.
